Memorial Day Thanks

All weekend we've been prepping and living out our first beach weekend of the year. We've bar-b-qued oceanside and walked into town for ice-cream. We've lazed around and we've just plain enjoyed our days. But through all of it, the true reason for these holidays is never far from my mind. Today especially I'm mindful of and ever-thankful for the men and women who make these lazy days possible. The men and women who have given their lives for my freedom. For those that I know and those that I don't who are still here, waking up every day with the intention of doing the work to maintain our freedom, I thank you too. Know that you're on my mind and that my gratitude is present the other 364 days of the year as well. Money Monday: Learn Vest
I was contacted a while back by an editor at Huffington Post to write a piece on money for an upcoming special they’re doing for HuffPo women. That Time of Year
Oh man, to look at my calendar these days is to risk eye damage. There is so much squeezed into each little block of days it’s mind-blowing. Three kids in two schools on two different sports teams, one school play and an end to a preschool career is a lot. Then there is the fact [...]

What Are You Thankful For?
Two years ago, I started a “Grateful” week on The Traveling Circus blog. I used every day leading up to Thanksgiving to write about something I was grateful for. This year I wanted to do the whole month of November. I’m so very grateful for so many things I figured why only talk about it [...]

I know I tout all natural products but when we were dead broke, some of these products were beyond our [...]
