Yesterday was exactly the kind of day you want to spend in New York City and thanks to this post, sponsored by Collective Bias®, I got to do just that. The sun was bright in the sky and it felt warm on your skin but not so warm that you couldn't cool off in the shade. So you could be outside and comfortable the whole time. It was glorious. We got to meet and chat with each man about his ice cream and the charity for which they were raising money. Then we got to taste the ice cream which may or may not have been my favorite part. HomeSick? For Reals?
It’s funny that the day my current town is named a Top 20 Small Town by the Smithsonian, I am missing the very town that Smithsonian is synonymous with. I’m never sure why it happens nor can I predict when it will, but it just keeps coming. No matter how long I am away and [...]

Lessons From Family Dinner
How do people not have family dinner? I suppose I can’t call what we do “family” because The Husband is rarely there. But every night we sit around the table, the children and I, and they tell me their tales. “What’s the best part and the worst part of your day?” I ask. What [...]

When Life Gives You… Apples?
Look, sometimes lemons just don’t work. Ok? Sheesh. This little when life gives you quote popped into my head this week while renewing my driver’s license. I found myself laughing at the people that would walk into the DMV and get all crazy over the fact that there was a line. Like they fully expected [...]
